Aberdeen’s proposed offshore wind farm has taken a step forward after a major European funding boost.
MEPs have approved 40 million euros for the Aberdeen Bay project.
It could involve 23 turbines between one and three miles out to sea stretching about three miles from the Bridge of Don to Blackdog beach.
The wind farm project is a joint venture between Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) and Swedish utility company Vattenfall.
