bought 6 battery operated Solar Lights, they all worked the first night and since then, only l works, I checked the batteries and all are fine. what can be wrong?

Hello, I wonder if anyone know of a 80s-90s movie (might have been low budget or made for TV) about an human looking android who accidentally killed his creator (might have been revealed in later part of the show) and then escaped his lab. Seems more in the drama category than action.
I think he escaped and ended up in the care of a woman.
He recharges himself via solar power by facing his hands (palms) against direct sunlight.
I don’t remember ending but the whole thing seems like telling about how an adult android with a baby/childlike mind could be a bit risky, as innocent as it may want to be.
I’ve seen this long ago and want know the title. Thank you very much!

Many people are debating how to best meet energy needs in the United States. Some argue that the country must decrease its dependence on oil and invest in alternative sources of energy, such as wind and solar power. Others argue that changing to new power sources is unnecessary and expensive. They state that the United States should search for oil in Alaska, the Gulf Coast, and other areas within the country that are currently not being explored.
