At last…Viking submit wind farm plans

Plans to be revealed today (Wednesday) for Europe’s largest onshore wind farm, in Shetland, have been condemned as over ambitious by campaigners.
Following a series of delays, wind farm developers Viking Energy are finally submitting their planning application for a 540MW wind farm to Scottish ministers.
Yesterday campaigners in Shetland said this would allow the long awaited debate to start in earnest about the pros and cons of the controversial 150 turbine project.
