My present house is built in such a way that it receives a lot of sunlight everyday. The intensity of sunlight is extremely large. So I want to develop some equipment so as to utilise this solar energy.

I am thinking along the following way:-

My equipment shall work like this- the sunlight will charge the solar cell, which will eventually be stored in the 12 V battery. Some type of meter should be present which will indicate the charge level of my battery. Once the battery is completely charged, the energy will be utilized to light up the LED lights, whenever I require. It means that the circuit should also consist of a switch.

But please suggest, how many LED lights are required to produce sufficient lumen equivalent to a 40 Watt Tubelight?
